I have a free week off work.
Always wanted to go to HK for a few days.
Worth it, with the jetlag? Tell me about the heat and the flight times.
Anyone know a good internet site for flights from Manchester?
Accomodation ditto.
Any special regs re security/visas/health?
Thanks for any info.

I did that earlier this year, for a long weekend (4 nights). It's about 12 hours away. We flew premium economy, which helped - more room to stretch out. But it was pretty tiring and though I did enjoy it I won't do it again. It's pretty warm and sticky there most of the year, but not usually unbearable. We flew Oasis - they go from Gatwick only, as far as I know - their seats start far cheaper than anyone else's though you may be lucky to find the cheapest. No special health or security requirements, but check your airline's website for the current situation.
l had a stop over in Hong Kong and enjoyed it lots to see
I was there in April, not hot but got dark at 7pm I would like to go again, My trip to Melbourne was a prize so Hotel was
included but there seemed to be nice hotels and places to eat and things very cheap, lots of nice shops.
I went on Qantas airline and was good nice food on flight,
it left heathrow at 12.20 and got to Hong Kong 7am at the airport I got a bus to Hotel, they even gave me a newspaper and bottle of water for the bus journey wasn't far. I didn't feel jetlag as went out for lunch. The time different is 7 hours. I hope this helps, would say its worth a visit and wished I'd had more days there.
