It is my intention to relocate. I have narrowed down my choice to the following towns:
CIRENCESTER
CHELTENHAM
EVESHAM
TEWKESBURY
WINDERMERE
LLANDUDNO
LYTHAM ST ANNES
Which one of the above would you suggest relocating to? Thanks.

Oh, alright, I'll go first. Windermere
To be honest it all depends on what you are going to relocate for.

The answer will be very different if you are in your 20s and have just left university, than if you are in your 60s and looking for somewhere to retire.

Are you looking for a job or have your retired, are you going to rent somewhere or buy a house, are you on your own or have a family, do you have any skills, do have have relatives in that area already, do you have a car, will you want to drive to other parts of the country to visit friends or relatives.

It is almost impossible to give an answer without knowing some background.
Of the places in your list I know:

Windermere is a small town in the Lake District. Very touristy, but not much industry so work may be low paid and very seasonal. Prices for renting or buying likely to be high due to many "second homes". You will need a car to get anywhere.

Llandudno is a seaside town in North Wales. Again very touristy, and not much industry. Tends to have a reputation as a holiday place for older people.

Cheltenham is a largish town, very cosmopolitan. Good shopping centre. Also plenty of business and industry so lots of work. Was some floooding in and around there last year.

Evesham is a small market town, again affected by flooding last year. Again, not much industry nearby, makes most money from fruit. Lots of seasonal work and lots of cheap immigrant labour fruit picking. See here

Tewkesbury was very badly affected by flooding last year. See here:

Thanks to everyone who has posted so far. I currently live near Manchester and my idea is to relocate to a 'nice' area that is less than 3 hours away from my family. I am 30 years old and single.
Cirencester is beautiful, lovely architecture, but expensive.
We live near Preston and the in-laws live in the Cotswolds. And whilst we can do the journey in 3 hours we don't rely on it. It does frequently take 4, and on occasion 5 (and once 6!!!) hours. There can be an awful lot of traffic on the M6 and M5. So if you really need to be within 3 hours of your family I wouldn't consider Cirencester/Cheltenham/Evesham/Tewkesbury.

Lytham St Annes is very nice (personally I prefer Lytham to St Annes). We seriously considered moving there when we relocated to the north west 6 years ago. Poulton-Le-Fylde is also very nice, and has quite a few decent bars.

If I knew I could afford a house and was guaranteed a job in any of your locations then I would choose (just because I like them)
1. Lytham
2. Cheltenham
3. Cirencester
...don't go to Lladudno..... it's the retirement capital of north wales, and not far from rhyl which in a recent poll came top as the most deprived area in wales....
I just closed my eyes and stuck my finger onto the screen - it came up closest to Windermere. Seeemed as good a way as any for solving this problem. Its a high-tech variant of "Tail on the Donkey".

Cheltenham is looking favourite at the moment. Anyone out there live in Cheltenham, and do you think it is a nice place to live and work?
my brother went to work in Cheltenham as a chef a few years back, he was quite young at the time, mid 20s and he loved it, made loads of new friends ( all girls, funny that) it's especially good during gold cup week
I have only been to Windermere from the places you have listed. I love it there but would have to agree with helpfuls comments with relation to work and house prices.
You find some beautiful and breathtaking scenery in the Peak District yenalad, but I suppose you'd have to consider work, and you need a car. There are also some beautiful villages in Wiltshire and Oxfordshire, but property prices can be a pain. Because the above areas are so different, and some further afield than others, are you planning on taking up a new career? What sort of price range are you thinking in terms of, for a house/apartment?
What a coincidence! You name is an anagram of another member of here. ( Leyenda )
Very observant lajohn!!

My complete list of potential places to relocate to were as detailed below. However, due to not wanting to be too far from my mum and dad I decided to reduce my relocation to less than 3 hours away. I am male, 30 and single as already explained. I will be renting not buying. I will be looking to find work in area.My preferred minimum salary is 20k per annum. I would hope to secure this salary for professional administrative roles similar to those I have occupied to date. I would however be willing to accept significantly less should the role give me the opportunity to learn a new skill. Indeed, if the role was particularly attractive I would be prepared to personally fund my own qualification (even possibly relocate to somewhere 'not nice'): For example, trainee/entry-level roles within Companies specialising in either a skilled trade, design or engineering. Therefore, if you can help me find such a role as well as suggest 'nice' areas to relocate to then that would be great!
