The Blue Nile starts at Lake Tana in Ethiopia, flowing into Sudan from the east. The two rivers (The White Nile being the other) meet near Khartoum. So says Wikipedia

Of its two sources, the Blue Nile flows from Lake Tana in Ethiopia, while the White Nile flows from Lake Victoria in Uganda.
