i prefer wmp, but i've never had real & lots of people recommend it. i think it's "cooler"

Real is awful. Their proprietary streaming media has always been bad. WMP with streamed WMV, ASF etc is much better.

In contrast I always use Real Player(especially for compiling and burning my own CD's) as I find it far more user friendly.

windows media player is currently at version 10 !

me thinks u should update from 7 !

Can't update to WMP version 10 as I'm still using Windows 98. I can not play AVI files on WMP so I gave Real a try, just found out it plays AVI file.
