I've copied a movie from flash drive to DVD using Nero but it will only run on the PC. How do I format it to play on a DVD player?

You mastered it with Nero as a PAL DVD ... NOT data, and it won't play on a DVD player? You have wrong settings in Nero .. or made an NTSC disc.
You don't format it .. you master it.
You burned to a DVD-R disc?
