Hard Drive needs backing up

hi, i have recently had problems with fb and now when i restart my pc it is saying i need to back up my hard drive an it needs replacing, i have never had this happen before, and it is not an old machine, firstly back up what, i not to familiar with backing up and do not know whether it is talking about the c drive or...... and has this happened because of a script running on fb, really odd, thanks for any help

Run a scan with your virus protection.

Download malwarebytes its free if you already have it scan.

It sounds like you have a virus you may have picked up from fb

Aside from whether you have a virus or not, it is recommended that you back up all your personal documents, photos, music files etc. either to CD, DVD, USB stick or an external hard drive...

went to download malwarebytes an it sent me to a site called geeks or something so wasnt sure if i was ok or not, dont want any more problems hahah
