Packard Bell Laptop problem

Hi. Recently I have been having problems with my Packard Bell Easynote laptop. The sreen has start to flicker and then after a while just goes completely black and the computer just freezes. Now, when I go to turn it on nothing happens, the power light comes on and i can hear the fan starting but the screen stays black (and by black I mean black, there is no light whatsoever. Any ideas? The laptop is only over a year old and was not damaged in anyway. TIA

If it is just over a year old take it back to where you bought it and ask them to have a look at it for you it should last longer than a year without trouble.
