Hello.

My PC is not recognising any disks at all, altough the power is fine & it does spin the disk when the tray closes.

I've tried un & re-installing, lens cleaner too but don't know what else to try

Any help?

Just the one drive?
If you uninstalled in Device Manager, rebooted and let Windows find and install again .. and that is not working ..
Last thing to check before substituting drive is to check the properties in SATA/IDE controllers for DMA settings(if there) and make sure NOT set to PIO mode.
After that, swap the drive.

Sorry, but as a novice that means nothing to me. Can you give me a step-by-step guide please?
Ignore 1. and read the rest first (6 and 7.2 apply)
Have a look at settings there to see is it 'can' be changed. Some cannot.
