Does anyone know of any good web sites where I can download economic/econometric articles or academic journals without either paying a subscription fee or using an Athens Login? Any help really appreciated!

Thanks

Em, I don't know....you have to go to the online Sci Nets and purchase a subscription. That way both the journal and the author get the money they deserve! This is important, given the lack of money in academia these days.
However, hypothetically, if you were short of cash, then you could hypothetically search the internet carefully (use +pdf in your search query) and then maybe, just maybe, the fact that these articles are made (not legally!) available to students at various unis by lecturers who put them online for said students might prove to be useful to you.
What use is Athens anyway, lol!? The number of times I only got as far as abstracts....Then it asked for 13 quid a go!
Also, if you get these titles using the Sci Nets, access to a good Uni library will mean you can normally get hold of all the journals anyway.
And failing that, you could always just write to the author! Worked for me!
