got pc up and running and cant get online. have a wireless card in it and dont know what to do now. can anyone help thanks

im assuming you have a router that has wifi, as you say wifi card then you dont need a cable to the router the router sends a signal to the pc wifi card, and the pc or laptop shopuld be getting a signal have a look here,

What OS are you using? Are using a laptop or is your pc a desktop and how many computers do have to share your internet connection. If it is your desktop pc you should be connected by and ethernet cable direct to your modem. I need more details about your problem.

its a desktop and has a wireless card in it but cant connect will i need to plug something in back for connection? think something was in it before
