Programme Not Responding

Normally, when I switch off my PC, it does as requested.

Lately, it has taken to advising that the Programme is not responding - so leaves the PC on. When I click the 'End Programme Now', it continues and switches off.

Any ideas why it's doing this, and how to stop it?

Mine has been doing the same for ages unless you cancel each `wotchermacallit` individually. Sorry if that`s not much help.

What program is not responding? Maybe uninstall or stop from starting by using msconfig (search on net for how to use). Check on the net first to see if you can do without it though.
