Skype advice please

i cant seem to phone someone at the moment using skype, i´m connected to the internet of course, but the call logo seems to be not responding. is there something i´ve overlooked?

Is the other party online, or have a skype enabled phone?

hi hc4361, it doesn´t matter who i´m calling at the moment, everything looks dead, the call button symbol you click onto to make a call is a dull green colour, and doesnt respond when i click onto it.
i´ve emailed skype

thats weird, i just tried to look at my account, by clicking on view account, its saying i´m not online. why would it say this?

In your skype panel, click the arrow next to your username - it's towards the top of the pane.
Click 'online'.
That should resolve the problem.

your a star hc, i´d have never found that. when i clicked it, 2 arrows were moving in a circular motion. will try again tomorow, as its getting late here in madrid

yes its working now. but disappointed with skype help line, useless, surely they shouldve given me the same advice hc4361 did.
