Just had a friend send me something via LinkedIn - is it just a grown up's version of Facebook?

Isn`t it supposed to be something to advertise your skills in the business world so you might be head-hunted? Like an on-lineCV?

I had to answer some dull 'business' questions to continue - very boring.

I joined linked in last year when i was going to be made redundant and i got sick of the emails offering supposed jobs, they were all agencies.

I am on Linkedin , was a family member trying to build up their list on contacts, don't use it.

I'm on it but use it far more to keep in touch with business contacts as it's more orientated to that.

Can be quite good for networking and keeping people updated as to business issues.
