highlight what you want to cut and press CTRL+X, go to where you want to paste and press CTRL+V

or highlight, right click on cut, go to where you want it, right click and paste.

You can also use the mouse.

Move mouse pointer to start of what you want to copy. Click left mouse button and keep it held down. Drag to highlight what you want copied. Right click and select copy. Move mouse pointer to where you want the copied data to be placed. Right click and select paste.
