The i5 needs a different socket from a old dual core

note:

It is Processor not Prosser

It is Dual Core not Duel Core

It is i5 not 1.5 (a letter i in front of a 5)

(not having a go at your spelling as you may not be English, just helping you out if you want to search the web using those terms).
Just to explain what a socket is if you dont know.

A processor fits into the motherboard in a socket.

Different processors need different sockets, so you have to buy the right motherboard for the right processor.

So an AMD wont fit in an Intel socket (and vice versa), and an i5 processor wont fit in a Pentium socket and so on.

Each time a new generation of CPUs come out they bring out a new socket type.
