Neither do I. Just answer the first part if you so wish.
;-) @ flobadod, glad it's not just me! - I accepted that they did, at the time it (allegedly) happened.
Well not all of mankind obviously, just a few.

I have no doubt that they landed as published.
41 years and no macdonalds or tesco on the moon, i dont believe it
No the 'Eagle' landed on the Moon, A few men Walked on the Moon. as in the Police song...

Well I believe they did.

Eddie what was the point of the link you posted, it proved absolutely nothing.

I saw someone do this years ago with a surveyor's transit. We were observing a lunar eclipse at the time. They were not aiming for a mirror but must have just got lucky . . . the numbers (distance) were spot on! And no, I don't expect anyone to believe this story. We couldn't believe it ourselves at the time either, and for obvious reasons I still have my doubts ? ? ?

Eddie, can you provide a source for information regarding this experiment you're referring to?
I think it's common knowledge now that it was really an elaborate hoax.
There is a particularly good reason for knowing that this is not a hoax.

The Apollo 11 Astronauts left the Lunar retroreflector

http://science.nasa.g...-nasa/2004/21jul_llr/

This allows scientists to bounce laser beams off of the moon and measure its distance to within cm.

There have been simply hundreds of scientists from countries around the world that have been involved in this - not least a French team working just outside of the Cote 'Azur (nice gig!)

The idea that all of these have been part of the conspiracy too is really stretching it way too far
Check out the NASA website for the photographs taken by the LRO which show the lunar modules and other kit (and in one case at least footprints) left behind by the various Apollo crews. Since these were published the hoax theorists have become an endangered species!
Perlease, not another plonker who believes all that conspiracy theory broccoli! Give me strength, are there still people who believe this? All anomolies debunked to order. Fluttering flags etc, kids stuff F_F_S. Laser reflectors already mentioned. Another clincher is that Apollo 11 was tracked by the Russians, they where given the frequency, remember the cold war, space race etc. Do you think the Russians would have loved to have shown up the Yanks? Think about it!
Then there's the 800lbs of moon rock that has been examined by thousands. Any serious lab can apply for a sample to examine. Horizon did a program a few years ago on how you'd go about faking moon rock, ie good enough to fool an amateur geoligist. They declared at the end it would be easiier to go to the moon and get some. So sandy and co please stop this drivel.
Nearly as daft as all the conspiracy theorists who believe that the worlds climate scientists have concocted a global conspiracy in order to get more funding eh Geezer?
