Connecting A Signal Booster

I've borrowed/purloined a Signal Booster from my daughter. It has an input socket and an output socket. I want to boost the signal on my Freeview box.
I have an aerial socket on the wall which goes into the Box and another socket on the box that goes into the TV. Do I have to connect the booster to the wall and then connect it to the Freeview box and then connect the box to the TV?? I am bamboozled, Help!!!

You connect the output from the Booster to your Freeview box. Aerial from wall into Booster

You might need an additional 'fly lead' (which is just a short piece of aerial cable with a plug at either end). If so, you can buy one from Tesco or Asda.

Then, as Redman states, you need to connect between the wall socket and the input of your booster. (The input might be labelled as 'Ant', 'Antenna' 'Ae', 'Aerial', 'Source', 'RF', 'RF In', 'In, or 'Input'). Then you need to connect between the output of your booster and the aerial socket on your Freeview box.

Yaay!! Thank you very much guys. I've now got ITV1,2, Channel 4 and 5 which I couldn't get before and super reception.
