what is this DataCardMonitor??

i have recently noticed when I view my Window Task Manager, i see a program called 'DataCardMonitor' on the list. does anyone know what it is?

i have tried to switch it off at start up (via system configuration utility) but it still comes back up. can anyone help me please and put my mind at rest that its not a virus????

I beleive it's a program that looks for mobile broadband dongles in usb ports.

It's wuld appear to be safe, and not a virus

arghh yes i use t-mobile mobile broadband, i wonder if thats the reason why my antivirus (kaspersky) keeps blocking me from using the internet. i cant use my mobile broadband on my pc because of kaspersky. so using laptop atm with avg as anti virus software.
