Your computer can play pretty much any format of video or audio there is (and there are loads) as long is it has the correct software to decode it (called a codec)

Your DVD player only has to play 2 formats (DVD and AUDIO CD) to be called a DVD player (although most can play a few other formats)

So to get anything to play in your DVD player you need to convert it to a format it understands, so the first thing you need to do really is look up what formats your DVD player can handle and then convert the files to that format.

Thanks chuck. Could I be able to change the mp4 format to say video file format? Also will the mp3 files be able to play on a car cd player.
I believe the format for your car player will need to be .CDA
Real Player or Win Media Player will convert your MP3 to CDA files.
HTH.

Thanks WaK I'll try that.
"Could I be able to change the mp4 format to say video file format"

MP4 is a video file format, just not the correct one to playback in a standard DVD player

And unless your in car player supports MP3 playback then (as WAK said) you'll need to convert the files into a standard audio CD (the tracks would then show as .cda files if you put the CD into a computer)
