help i've washed me dongle!!

i have just put my new dongle and two memory cards through a 40 degree wash! What shall I do? Will they be totally knackered?

I washed my dongle in the sink this morning and it's in good nick !

Dry them out thoroughly, I have had a dongle work after being washed. Can't say about the memory cards though.

The memory cards will almost certainly be fine, the dongle will probably be fine.

Do not try and use them until you've dries them fully though, to best dry them wrap them in kitchen paper and then bury them in a bowl of uncooked rice and then leave the bowl in a warm place for at least 24hrs.

Probably lol, not really the way to clean up your PC, try antivirus, it doesn't leave everything so wet and soggy!!

i haven't got any kitchen paper, chuck - shall i just put them in the sun?

It's better if they are wrapped in something that will absorb the moisture and help to draw it out from inside it as they dry out.

That will do. the important part is don't try them until you are sure they've dried properly as dampness and electricity is what will damage them.

I'll have you know I only drip dry when absolutely necessary and completely unavoidable. (I don't sit on strange toilets either!)

I have wrapped me donglies in the finest andrex quilted bogatree roll and they are submerged in sainsbury's basmati rice!

I always like to keep my dongle in a dark moist environment.

Nothing worse than a damp dongle, I've lost mine completely or someone has nicked it.
