For the last couple of days I have tried to send e-mails but keep getting the following error message in a yellow box above the address bar. "There was a problem with the windows live hotmail service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again later."

Then a second message appears "We cannot connect to windows live hotmail right now. Please try again later." Yet when I send an e-mail on another tower using my wife's e-mail account, the message goes through.

Would appreciate any thoughts on this problem, thanks in advance for any assistance.

Are you sending porn? Maybe the child-filter is on. :-)

No I'm not sending porn. I'm trying to enter the Daily Mail's on the hour every hour comp. But it started blocking before today. Whatever filters are on or off I have not altered anything myself.
Can you browse the internet on that computer?

How are you using hotmal? from the website, or using a mail client (such as outlook)
Question Author
Yes I can browse the net and recieve e-mails. I have Vista sp2, explorer 8 and Firefox the latest version. I've tried to send e-mails in both.

I'm sending the e-mails through my e-mail account in Live Messenger
OK, thanks for the reply.

Do you use any adblocking software on your computer? or do you have a 3rd party firewall installed?

if yes to either try disabling one or both of them temporally to see if that helps.
