when i enter most websites certain parts of the screen, (usually where adverts should be) say"THIS PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED".can anyone tell me why and if i can do anything about it.thanks in advance.

next can i instal AOL broadband if i do not have administrator rights?

You probably have a firewall blocking them or the settings in Internet Explorer (Tools -> Internet Options) is set to block images which are stored on a different server from the webpage that you're viewing (and is therefore likely to be an ad).

i.e. the Ask Jeeves ad/image that you're having the pleasure of not seeing is stored on Jeeves' server while this page itself is on AB's.
