Linking XBOX 360 to Windows 7 laptop (via media centre extender)

When i first got my Xbox 360 i managed to connect it to my wireless laptop via the media center extender option, however i must have done something as it fails to recognize my laptop any more, I've tried going through the whole media center extender option again, but to no avail.

does anyone have any ideas on what i have done or could do to rectify this?
