I bought a MP3 player on which I loaded some of my CDs. The CDs play fine, they are also fine when I play them directly from the computer. However when they have been transferred to the MP3 player they have "blips". I thought I had a faulty MP3 player and changed it, but with the same result. On reading the manual I find this piece of advice although I am not sure if it is the same problem and I also do not understand the advice given.
"problem ; The audio tracks on my player keep skipping or popping.
advice; You'll need to re-record the audio track - make sure you close all other computer operations ( I did ) and try recording with Error Correction setting turned on "
My question. Is skipping and popping the same as my blip? and where and how would I set Error Correction?
Would be real grateful for some advice. Thank you in anticipation.

Tricky to know for sure as don't know what you mean by "blips"

But if the files are playing back ok on the computer then it's probably safe to assume that the skips are not in the files but caused by the player having problems playing them.

Check in the manual what bit rates the MP3 player supports and make sure your files are not encoded in a higher bit rate than the player supports, I'd pay particular attention to if the player supports variable bit rate and if it doesn't then make sure your files have not been encoded in VBR.

Thank you for the answer. My MP3 supports 32 - 320 kbps ( for mp3) and I recorded in MP3 format , sooooo I think that should be OK, but as you can tell I am very new to this technology.
