...of all the DIY attempts over this weekend!

I sanded down my bathrooms walls ready for a repaint (and removed a few cobwebs I found along the way).

So, did you do any DIY and if so, what?

And more importantly - did you do yourself an injury?

Had a fall from grace on Sunday - about 7 foot up pruning trees with the long-armed lopper and overbalanced. Landing on the metal part of the ladder and hurt more than my pride. Whilst still on the garden gathering my thoughts got mugged by my sister's dog who tried to get the dog treat out of my jeans pocket. Nice dog. Come to think of it she may have pushed the...

I got a 5lt tin of white emulsion out of the shed and thought about brightening up the ceiling.
Maybe next Easter.
No injuries.

That's the spirit Sandy - it's the thought that counts!
I dug out the foldaway plastic greenhouse thing I have and was about to put it up again- then it rained so i thought better of it.

Ever the adventurer Boo - no injuries incurred I take it?
Nope, none whatsoever. Though I did hurt my thumb on Tango Ice ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach- does that count?
I looked around and made a list for the hubby and no injuries yet but I haven't given him the list yet so I may be knocked backwards by his laughter and hit my head
There's only one kind of DIY that I partake in, and it's not for discussion before the watershed.

OK Boo - I'll give you that. Caused by stress obviously - will you sue?
I thought about doing some diy but I can't find any batteries,

For me touch, lol

Far too much information Justin and thank you for sharing swanko
I've broken my longest nail opening the shed door, I intended to get the roller and brushes out to do the ceiling in the front bedroom. Maybe I'll wait till it grows again.
Question Author
Definitely wait Ask - it's so traumatic when one breaks a nail isn't it?
I've HAD a DIY today ...

... I haven't DONE any DIY.

Isn't that why you "get a little man in" ?
Question Author
I'd get a big man in if I were you jogger!
Nooooo ......

You never get a "big man" in.

If the plumbing leaks ... you get a little man in.

Car needs washing? ... get a liitle man round.

Dishwasher broken? ... little man

Bit of DIY needed? ... little man.

If you told your friends you were having a "big man" round ... it would sound SO wrong.

A real accident ttfn - glad you didn't end up in A & E- apart from that, trust you had a good holiday!
Thanks lardy - that was the best bit - you don't want to hear the rest of my woeful holiday! 2nd best bit - driving to the local garden centre this morning and we passed a beautiful country cottage with a magnificent display of beautifully kept topiary by the front curved wall. I remarked on this to Sis and she replies 'beautiful - I do like to see a nicely trimmed bush'. The car nearly went off the road - and I am a very good and experienced driver!
Question Author
lol! We have many a request from punters telling us they need their bushes trimmed, so could we send the contractors round! Needless to say, they're happy to oblige!
