TAPING IS IN BLACK/WHITE

We have a Panasonic DVD recorder model DMR-EZ47V, it has been great but today I have just taped something and it has tape in black/white. Also when I put the TV on to it through the video channel that is black/white also. Can anyone help please? Thanks.

check all the leads are fully plugged in.

If the DVD recorder is 'dual standard', check that it's not switched to NTSC (which is the US colour system) rather than to PAL (which is the UK colour system). Selecting the wrong system can result in a black & white recording.
