yeah it will work fine.

One of mine has been through the wash four or five times now and still works fine (and I washed another one about 3 days ago, also works fine)
ive put the TV remote through and that works fine :)
I just take my TV remote to work with me :) (gawd knows why, but I've done it twice now!)
men are attached to their remotes apparently, don't worry chuck you'll be ok

Chuck your answer makes me feel a bit better. Thanks. If this effects her exams I will feel awful.
yes it'll be fine, i've washed tumble dried and ironed one of mine and it still worked fine

i once got pushed ina swimming pool at uni with one in my pocket along with my mobile phone, ipod and a calculator, the only thing that broke was the calcultaor and needed some new headphones as the ones that got wet worked but it sounded like they were signing underwater
and you have the bonus that it'll smell lovely and all spring fresh for a couple of days :)
You youngsters...
When I were a lad we used t'get up in't mornin, scrape t'ice of winders with our pendrives, stir our broth with em, suck em to stave off hunger pangs, get stones out of horses hooves with 'em, and (if we were lucky enough to find an old newspaper) strike two together to light us fire.
...remember Rojash, they don't make 'em like they used to. :-)
This is why you should ALWAYS have copies of important work on another hard disk or another computer somewhere.

Lets face it, what if she lost the pen drive and it contained the only copy of her course work.

It is so easy to copy the contents of a pen drive on to a hard disk or exteral hard drive.

It looked dry inside so we tried it and it still works. when she came home she said that all the work is saved on a computor in the school.
