Hi i have a clock that when i put the battery in it ticks fine and tells time fine but when it gets to 1 oclock it stops completely and the hands dont move. The thing is the clock is still ticking so i know it isnt the battery and when i put it to any other time then its fine and carries on working as normal.
Anyone have an answer and how to fix it?? Really stuck please help thanks alot.

Try WD40, the mechanism sounds like it's broken, you can buy a new one for about £3.00.

i really need my clock to work
There'll be a worn tooth on the cog, the hands hold the mechanism in with a collar, the face will either be available to be removed from behind or the hands will be accessible from the front and the whole lot wil fall away.
It is a really simple job.
This guy's good at restarting clocks:

Seriously though, I had a similar problem - examine the little hand - is it bent, and hitting an obstruction ( a bulge or lump on the face) at 1 O'clock?
I just bent the hand up slightly to clear the lump on the face.
