I have Vista but it doesn't seem to have this feature even though the book explains how to use it. The feature just does not appear in the backup/restore section. Presumably I've got some sawn off home use version. Anyone know where I can get upgraded? preferably without costing a bomb, thanks

Backup / Restore in Vista is only available in Vista Busines or Vista Ultimate.

I relly dont think it is worth upgrading Vista at this stage. (And if you upgrade to Busines you "lose" some things in the Home version, you would have to go to Ultimate).

I am sure you can find a free or cheap Backup/Restore product, like say Acronis True Image.

Thanks, yes I can go with true image etc, I just wondered if there was some sort of trick or something that would make that bit work.
