I want to use headphones on my TV to improve the clarity of speech. I use them at present in the garden in the summer, wireless, for the radio BUT my LG 32"LCD bought new xmas2007 1080p does not have a socket for the connection. Went to currys today and their LG32 does. At the side of the back are a up/down row of sockets , svideo, red, yellow, white and socket for headphones. Mine is the same without the headphone.
Is there any other way I can use the fones? TIA

yes, but it's going to require an external amp with line inputs.

Thanks Chuck, but what isan "amp" where does it go and where would I buy such a thing. TIA
an amplifier such as...

http://www.amazon.co....ref=cm_cmu_pg__header

you would also need a suitable lead to connect the audio output from the TV to the amp but what lead depends on the available audio outputs on the TV
