In which circumstance is it necessary to replace the CMOS chip?  A. If it is a non-flash type.  B.  When the CMOS is full.  C. When you upgrade the CPU.  or        D. After you have flashed it several times.????

The only time you would really need to change it if its a nonflash type and it NEEDS updating. There are no other reasons for it, IMHO. Are you doing an exam!?

When you flash it with the wrong BIOS update! Agree with PM, A) and tcp should take up art as s/he is obviously no good at computers.
