At times I charge my sat nav with my home charger. When I pluged it into the pc to charge up, the screen went black and just had the Garmin logo on it. Then when I plugged it into the mains charger, I was able to enter my password, then the same thing happened, then it kept asking for my password and the black screen showed again. No menu came up on the screen.
When I first got my sat nav I did connect it to the pc to register my item. Since then I cannot get the menu up. Halfords said it sometimes goes into standby mode when you use the mains charger, my reply was, but I should be able to use it then and find places etc. Any ideas?

Halfords spoke to Garmin about my problem, Garmin said that because my mains charger for the home is NOT a Garmin one, that is why I am getting a black screen with the Garmin logo on. When I asked them "how come its been working ok for the last couple of months" they just repeated the above.
Garmin said I can charge my sat nav when its connected to the pc, but then you will get the black screen with their logo on and will not be able to use it while its charging.
