The "green goo" roundle comes up to collect a tray.

Find out how many tables there are.

Someone from each table comes up to collect a tray.

On each tray are several bowls of "green goo"

The teams have to guess what they are.

They will all be normal foods, but with green food colouring.

For instance ...

mashed potato

semolina

custard

mayonnaise

mushy peas

It's harder than you think to identify foods from their taste alone!

Oh ... you might need to supply some plastic spoons, too.

how about a picture quiz? do a sheet of photos of celebs or something for teams to complete whilst your dad has a 20 min break. Gives everyone a chance to refill their glasses too.

Bear in mind that a lot of quizzers tend to use their phones to find out the answer. A pub quiz I used to go to, used to put an obscure question in like, "what is the orbital diameter of Venus" and promoptly disqualified anyone who got it right.
