DTR all library deleted

Puzzled as to how this happened... I have a Digihome DTR 250GB which was 50% full of recorded programmes in the 'library'.

Whilst out for the day yesterday there was a power cut which was quite brief but on returning home all the recordings in the library are deleted. There were 12 messages to say ' on reboot this recording was found to be corrupted and has been removed' ....presumably this has happened to all the programmes.

I'm at a loss to understand this....could this have been caused by a power surge AND would the recorder have been protected with a power surge protector plug??

I noticed that a programme was not recorded this morning which should have been...maybe more problems to come....

Any help or advice, please??

this happened to me once with another make different to yours
i'd try unplugging it for at least 30 mins then start up and go thru the installation procedure again
