defrag and scandisk...for phones?

is there a way to 'fix' errors with your phone using something similar to the scandisk and defrag functions on a pc...??

perhaps some software you can download and run on your phone?

resetting it to factory setting may help but not too sure ,just if you are going to try it back up all your contacts and other media on to a memory card 1st

i was referring more to things like screen freezing, going blank for a minute, screen going blurred for minute, etc
can i ask how old it is ? if it's not that old i would take it back to the shop ,i used to get that with my sony erricson phones,they had to be replaced as it was a common fault

is there perhaps a setting on phones?
what phone is it and i\'ll try and help ,without the model it\'s a bit difficult as they are all different ,

hiya sorry took so long to get back to you have been trying to track down the answers but nothing ,so dont think you can ,have you got loads of music and stuff on ,its a long shot but try aand delete some put it on your comp first though and see if this fixes your problem ,one of my old phones did that there wasnt enough ram for all the apps i had and kept freezing
