Further to my previous thread, one more question. When I get my new laptop and I load my AOL disc (which I already use on my other computer, on the same phone line) will it ask me if I want to use AOL on more than one computer in the same house on the same phone line . What box do I tick ?? Sorry hope I make myself clear. I can't be bothered phoning AOL as I am not 100% confident with their customer services dept.

The disc will recognise your lap top only, the key to using your lap top is establishing your internet connection, whether wi fi or router.
It is not necessary to load ANY aol software on a new computer if you have already established an AOL connection in the past from a computer in your home.

AOL is my service provider. I use a wireless router. I recently bought a new laptop and didn't have to load any AOL software at all.

I use FireFox as a browser. I simply clicked on the network connection which said 'wireless networks are available', clicked on my own one and provided the password. I can then surf the web. To read AOL mail, I go to the AOL home page (aol.co.uk) and click on 'Mail' where I enter my username and password.
