hi all
i have a lovely close up photo on my laptop of a flower i took during the summer, it really is rather beautiful and quite 'professional' looking, just like some of these pics you can buy in the shops.
anyway, im wanting to print it and frame it and give it as a christmas present to a relative.
now, if i copy the photo to a disc will a shop be able to print it off for me?
im thinking of doing it A4 size or slightly larger.
any recommendations on where to take it to get done please and roughly how much would it cost ?
thanks :o)

One option would be use the services of an on-line service such as photobox. I have not used them myself.

Alternatively, using a disc should be no problem for a reputable outlet, you could also use a memory stick if you have one (saves using a disc for just one pic).
Many large outlets of Boots the Chemist have self-service machines that print excellent photos up to 8" by 10".
They cost £3 each at that size.
You insert your storage medium (memory card, usb drive, CD) then follow the onscreen instructions. You wait for your prints to come out along with a barcoded printout. You take those to the counter to pay and get packaging.
Many outlets do canvas prints.

This one is doing 3 for the price of 2

Download last weeks`The Gadget Show` on channel 5 where they tested all the photo shops. I can`t remember the best one, sorry as I print my own with a Canon Pixma MP 220, which are available from Argos. (Other printers are also available)
