Hi everyone

Is there any way in which i can download my own files from my own webpage. e.g. I log on to my Yahoo geocities account and access my file manager and i can see my files, but i need to download them to my computer as i no longer have access to the computer that all my web design stuff is on. Can anyone help me on how i go about downloading them to another computer?

I'm assumingyou have the basic free account (which does not have FTP facility).

The File Manager help information tells you to edit the page in File Manager, select all, copy and paste into notepad, saving as filename.HTM.

An alternate way is to look at your page online, right click, select 'view source', the HTML should come up in notepad, than do 'save as'

But that doesn't help with graphics. For graphics, look at your page in the browser, right click on the graphic and 'save as'

Reason Geocities recommend their system is because they add code to your page when its displayed which shows the advertising. If you use view source and save as you'll get their extra code.

Thats OK if you understand HTML as its easy to remove. If you use edit in filemanager you see just your code..
