hi, im looking at buying a Ipod classic, and i see there are generations like 4th and 6th. can some one explain the differences between them and which generation is the newest?

ok so i no the difference now. my next question, i know that i will have to get itunes to put music on to the ipod. can i put music that is allready on my computer on the ipod through itunes or do you have to re-download them again from a web site?

Yes.
you can use the music already on your computer, you just have to import it into the Itunes library.
