My device is freezing on the start-up screen, I have tried resetting it several times but the same problem occurs. Anyone have this problem or know what to do?

mine does this often. yesterday it decided to go German on me!

I wired it up to the laptop and opened the TomTom software, then used "operate on computer screen" and it let me re-set the basics (time, language etc) and it's okay again.
