I have .srt greek subtitles for AVIs I watch on VLC player. But the subtitles do not show up as Greek, just some kind of gibberish. Can anyone tell me how I go about seeing the Greek?

What version of Windows are you running?
In order to correctly display the Greek character sets, your OS must fully Unicode compatible.

You might need to download The Microsoft Layer for Unicode on Windows 95/98/Me Systems. The two MSLU files need to be put in the C:\Windows\System\ folder.

... or you could try GOM Player, which I much prefer to VLC.
