How do you send photos to a blog

I can attach photos to Email or when sending a word document, but I want to send a photo from 'MY Pictures' to a sports blog I read daily. I have tried copy and paste but after I have copied it and gone to the website the copy has not come with me so nothing to paste. Is it possible ?
