How to set an iphone song as ringtone

I have an iphone and would like to use a song that I have on its ipod as a ringtone but I can't work out how to do it.
Can anyone help please?

You need to get an iphone ringtone maker and then use itunes to install it.

No its not an app. Just Google "Iphone ringtone maker". You will most likely end up with a trial version but at least you can make a few ringtones out of whatever Mp3 songs you have.

You will then need to put it in itunes and sync it to your phone.
