Kids answering the phone

Why are they so useless? Just had to phone a club secretary, and daughter answered (young teenager by the sound of it). Is that Mrs so and so. No. Is she available. No. When is the best time to catch her. Don't know. May I leave a message. Er, I suppose so. Can you ask her to ring me. Er, ok. - then puts phone down without asking who I am or what my number is!

Don't get me started!
I offered to help someone out with a lift to hospital and they said they'd let me know if they needed me.
My youngest took the call. He couldn't remember if the caller had said "Yes" or "No"

My 19 year old son is the same - when he does manage to get off his ar$e and answer the phone, he never asks who it is or takes a message.

Thank god for the answer machine.

Even when he does take a message, he never delivers it and nine times outa ten it's all wrong!!!!
