I know that Win MX is supposed to be spyware free, but my anti-spyware software 'SpySubtract' (which I have been pretty impressed with thus far) identifies it as a threat to my system.  Is WinMX ok?  And if so, then why should SpySubtract 'object' to it?

i think it sees it as a threat cuz it (win mx)  is software that has p2p networking which  opens certain files on your computer to other users. therefore it is a security threat.
winMX is spyware free.

WinMX is 100% spyware free, unlike Limewire and Kazza.........all spyware and firewall type programs will object to a utility like WinMX which tries to access the internet....once you have configured your spyware software to ignore winmx.exe you'll be fine.

I have used WinMX for downloading music for years.
I have never had any rpoblem with spyware, virus's or any other nasty.
It's a great program and can be enhanced by downloading NapMX to get you more servers.
