Correct me if I am wrong on both counts, but
1) Greenies have no report function on their screen
and
2) Don't you have to be logged into the site, or at least at the computer to carry out the 'block reporting' that was being blamed for the ids going last night?

As I was not online, I think i can categorically refute any claim that i was in any way to blame.

I suggest that there may be people who have been upset enough by you (knobby) and legend to feel the need to get you off the screen. It was however nothing to do with me, though i am thinking you have made sure as many people as possible are indoctrinated with the idea that it could have been me.

ummm hi, what keeps happening yo your ID?

Yes I know that would have that result, but as I read the complaints (well unsubtle comments actually) from the early morning threads, an actual user had been 'block reported' as opposed to an isolated post. Yes a post will go if enough people report it, but how can even a group of users remove an id? I think the posts would go, but not the id its self, that would always be working surely.
pturnbuckle is ssoooooo correecct
Question Author
well yes jno but you have to keep the illusion going.

Knobby, i may well be wrong on the technical aspects of the salient points, however, i am absolutely sure i am correct when I say i was not logged on here nor was I at my computer at the approximate time the people started mentioning 'block reporting' happening from reading back over the early hours threads.

Oh and I shall not be calling you all the names you have earned as the ed has asked me to refrain during this culling period to avoid being caught in the nets.

I don't know Dot :-(
umm its what dot used to do when we had report answer option

she used a host of names to remove posters that she didnt like.

you get 2 or 3 people and you report using the report function

you use the report function and all report a user to get their thread or threads removed.

exactly like p turnbuckle said earlier
It seems to have a mind of it's own.....

This site is sooooo bloody slow today :-(
I was answering her question regarding my user name....
dot.haukes, "block reporting" is, I am lead to believe, what some of the users with multiple accounts do to have threads removed.

However I know that some threads are deleted because of a single complaint if you contact the Ed and the post or posts are bad enough to merit removal. I have reported such threads and the user recently and they have been removed.

HTH? :0]
reallly?

welll mines is back after last nites reporting fest
