Hi all

My mum is looking for a compact digital camera that doesn't have that 3 second delay in taking the picture which means you miss the shot. It happens on her (good) mobile phone camera and drives her nuts.

Anyone know of such a thing?

Cheers

It is called 'lag'. All digital cameras have it to a lesser or greater degree...

well, a lag of a third of a second isn't something I'd worry about too much unless you're trying to take pictures of Superman (faster than a speeding bullet and all that). In fact I've got one listed as 0.45 seconds and I've never actually noticed a delay at all.
eerrrm...
"3 second delay" is not quite the same as "a third of a second", jno :-)

Thanks snags, that's really helpful. I'll pass that on to mum.

Jno - rojash is right, I really did mean 3 seconds! She wouldn't mind a third of a second! But thanks for all your input.
