macbook pro making gurgling sound

hi i have recently upgraded the HD of my MBP but since i have done this it occasionally makes a digestive gurgling (or frog ribbet) from underneath the left speaker. I have been on mac forums and there are other users who experience this. but because i upgraded my HD my mac is out of warranty. On the forums there is nobody who knows what it is. Does anyone on here have any idea? It only happens occasionally but in a quiet room its very annoying! I am going to take it back to the apple shop where they upgraded the HD but I dont know what to say as it only happens very occasionally. hmmmmmmmmm. what is going on?
