I think they are there to make the pages look pretty!
Question Author
lol maybe, but I'm sure there must be another reason for them. :)
they are swear words that have been censored by the printers
lol
Question Author
So if they are swear words y are they right at the very top or bottom of the page???

It's seriously driving me mad. they HAVE to mean something!!!!!!!
Are they for footnotes? Or am I being too sensible here?!

Hiya sasha sexpot, where've you been?!
THey are something to do with the process of binding the book together in the correct order. They print pages in sections, and then collate them for binding.
Question Author
Thanks. Thats a more sensible answer. lol

Hey Rinkins I have been off work ill for a while :(
Put my back out (not thro sex tho lol)

How's you??

xxx
Well if it's not because of sex then it isn't worth it! LOL

Good thanks! Glad you're back (pardon the pun)
Question Author
Exactly, coz I don't even know how I did it. But It def wasn't sex.

although sex did help make it feel better for a while ;) he he
I always thought it was like a break in the story, where the author didn't want a separate chapter but to show that the time had changed without saying "Two days later..." for example.
Question Author
Ok thanks Sophie. i'm going to try and google it.
They are in the middle of the page when the author does that. The answer about the binding makes the most sense.
Question Author
I have tried to google it but with no succes. thanks for all your answer. x
ah I see! just had some in the book I'm reading actually but they were the separating sort, not the binding sort!
