Restoring video to hard disk TV recorder

I've got a freeview TV recorder (Wharfedale LP160DTRHDMI from Argos). As the hard disk was getting full, I used the 'Export to USB' function to put aside some favourite programmes. They were saved as .ts files.
Now I can't find a way to put them back. The manual describes loading jpeg and mp3 files from USB but not programmes.
Can anyone please help me restore these files? Or is there another way to process .ts files?
Thanks,
Derek

You can download VLC player on to your pc and that will play .ts files.
